Lawn Spreader

Lawn Spreader

Hi guys Cory here and today I'd like to talk about a lawn spreader. Sometimes it's more commonly known as a fertilizer spreader, but for today let's just call it a lawn spreader.
When you get right down to it there's basically two types of spreaders that can be used on your lawn.
Lawn Spreader
The first type is a rotary spreader.  This type of lawn spreader sprints the material by flinging it out sideways.  It typically has a spinner in the middle where the product drops down for a hopper well the spinner spinning causing the material to flying out.
This is a perfect lawn spreader for doing large lawn's. The width that it spreads the material is usually 8 to 10 feet. You have to be careful when using this type of fertilizer spreader so you don't overspread the product. By what I mean by that,  is that you don't wanna get the product off it's intended target.  This type of spreader does not work well for small areas.
Effective way to get excellent coverage with the rotary spreader is to double up on the application. But what I mean by this is if you want to go over the area two times and a half or eight defective way to get excellent coverage with the rotary spreader is to double up on the application. But what I mean by this, if you want to go over the area two times at a half rate.  You go at 90° angles with two applications will pop vied an awesome distribution of your product.

The other type of spreader is a drop spreader.
The spreader is extremely accurate with the product amount that you put down.
A major drawback of this type of lawn spreader is the fact that it only spreads 24 to 36 inches wide depending on the model that you have.  So you could see if you have a large area to do you're going to be spending a lot of time walking back-and-forth.
The spreader is perfect for small in town lots.
It's extremely easy to make very app curate fertilizer applications with it perfect for the homeowner.
it's typically easier to push on the grass because the weight of the product that can hold his lesson to rotary spreader.
It seems to be a favorite of older DIY individuals.
No matter what type of lawn spreader you use maintenance is extremely important.
I highly recommend you wash your lawn spreader out after each use.
Most new type of spreaders are constructed of plastic. Plastic tends to be less corrosive than metal and will last longer.
However most of them still have some type of metal parts in them whether it be the spinner, possibly pins or washers or maybe even the shoot flow.
Fertilizer reeks havoc on metal products. No matter what type of launch where do you have if you don't not maintain it and wash it after each use it'll never last .
I'm a big fan of buying a commercial product and I would highly recommend visiting a local lawn repair shop. This way you will be getting a commercial product that will last a lifetime.
